MY "NON-TOXIC" STANDARDS
When I say “non-toxic,” I mean free of...
The term “non-toxic” means different things to different people. It can even mean different things to the same person over time. Science is always developing & people are continuously learning about new toxins. I, too, am always learning about new toxins.
There are even some toxins that both scientists & those in the non-toxic community differ on. Some claim those ingredients should be avoided completely, while others advise using them in moderation.
As I take you along on this non-toxic living journey with me, I feel it is important that I be clear about what I mean when I personally use the term “non-toxic” to describe products. I have a much longer list of toxins I personally avoid, but this shortened list is based on some of the common toxic ingredients most products marketed as “non-toxic” are free of. Because I am constantly learning about new toxins, sometimes that means throwing out old products I previously believed were “non-toxic.” If that is ever the case, regarding a product I share with you all, I will issue an update that I no longer consider that product “non-toxic.”
I am not a scientist or a medical doctor. I am simply a toxic tort attorney & community educator with a deep desire to keep others safe through community education about toxic ingredients. Always do your own research & consult medical & scientific information about toxic & non-toxic ingredients.
That being said, when I say “non-toxic,” I mean free of . . .
